SplinterWorks The Tipping Point

There is no doubt in my mind that most people aspire to have a desirable home. Ultimately this why there are so many interior design magazines and TV shows featuring this subject. A few days ago I was speaking to close friends who are in the process of building a house. As well as having designated zones to suit their requirements they also want a designer kitchen. Unfortunately, if you want something truly special then it will cost a lot of money.

Recently I watched the highly captivating US show ‘Million Dollar Rooms’. In this particular episode they focused on really high end kitchens from around the world. Amazingly one buyer had forked out $2 million for a kitchen with a diamond encrusted extractor fan. Certainly this offering was not to my taste because I prefer more understated designs in general. That is why I love the creative talent of companies like Zeyko and SplinterWorks.

A few weeks ago I published an article showcasing SplinterWorks incredible Vessel carbon fiber hammock style bath. As I mentioned in my review it might not be the most practical bath in the world but it is highly distinctive. The same can be said about one of their other products called ‘The Tipping Point’. This highly futuristic kitchen wouldn’t look out of place in some of the world’s most contemporary residential homes. It also cleverly creates the illusion that it defies gravity by resting on a knife point.

What makes ‘The Tipping Point’ so extraordinary is the combination of polished steel and reclaimed teak. These two contrasting materials work harmoniously to create a sublime kitchen. There is even a practical element to the sculptural design as the kitchen is equipped with a curved integrated sink, dishwasher and induction hob. Maybe this won’t appeal to a modern family because of its limitations. However, I am sure disciples of minimalistic living will appreciate the artistic talent involved in producing this type of bespoke product.
