Since I changed my website from Horology to design, it really has expanded the amount of topics I can feature. Whether it be furniture, appliances, clothes, automobiles, timepieces etc. my preference is custom made. To a certain extent there are crucial geographic regions that are considered more prestigious than others. For example, if you are purchasing a watch, Swiss made has highest reputation, similarly Italian for clothes and German for appliances. However, there are many other micro companies (in different countries) that are manufacturing innovative, high quality products. A great example can be found in Utah based company Kodiak Leather.
For many reasons I have always been fascinated by leather and have a great collection of jackets made from this material. That is why I was very interested in what Kodiak Leather are offering. The company is the brainchild of Jared Morse who resides in the beautiful Rocky Mountains region of Salt Lake City, Utah in the United States. This forged an inspiration to produce exquisite leather products at realistic prices. Impressively all of the goods are handmade and come with a lifetime warranty.
Within the range, Kodiak Leather offer a variety of different leather goods mainly targeted at the discerning gentleman. Essentially the company state that they sell products that will suit a large demographic of clients like travelers, businessmen and missionaries. My personal favourites are the amazing Duffel bag and satchel because of the unique patina. However, there are several other options like a laptop case, briefcase, wallet, Dopp bag and even a really trendy leather pencil case.
