If you are looking to purchase a really cool limited edition (500-pieces) watch at a price that won’t break the bank I would highly recommend the Maestrale GMT by Viqueria. This is the brands third and probably the most distinctive model. Features like a solid titanium case, sapphire crystal, ceramic bezel insert and Super-LumiNova C3 treatment on hands, bezel etc give the timepiece a really high-quality appearance. The watch is also water-resistant to a depth of 500-metres and therefore is suitable for professional diving.
Viqueria is owned by Nicolò Debenedictis and Omar Dimauro who are both passionate about horology. That is reflected in the quality and design of their new Maestrale. This watch is available in black, blue and green (my personal favourite) and is presented on a stylish titanium bracelet. The company have played it safe with the proportions and have opted for a 42mm case. This strategy has kept the weight down (135 grams) and should attract a broader demographic.
Powering the Maestrale GMT is a high grade Swiss mechanical automatic movement, which is visible through the sapphire crystal case back. The Soprod C125 GMT comprises 25-jewels and oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. Functionally the watch features hours, minutes, hacking seconds, dual time-zones (with 24 hours complications) and a power reserve of 42 hours.
The Maestrale GMT has just been launched on Kickstarter and is attracting a lot of positive attention. To purchase the timepiece for a special early bird price of €689 (approximately $768) follow this link
