Stepan Sarpaneva is a true artisan living in the heart of Helsinki. Finland isn’t a place I’d normally associate with fine watchmaking yet his creations are outstanding. The Korona K3 Northern Stars is a beautiful looking timepiece that is very characteristic of the brand. The mesmerizing dial is garnished with laser pierced stars to illustrate the Little Bear constellation. The K3 also employs the trademark moon to display the lunar phases.
At 42mm x 10.2mm it’s an understated timepiece that I imagine would suit most tastes. It is also available in three case materials: Stainless steel, 18k white & red gold each limited to only 10 pieces. The movement is a modified Soprod A10 calibre that comprises 25 jewels & delivers a 42-hour power reserve. The price ranges are: €13,000-€22,000
