This is a pretty quirky offering from Lionel Ladoire. I personally love the looks of the Black widow series of watches but appreciate they won’t appeal to everyone’s tastes. Visually it’s a bold design even though initially the layout looks confusing. The time is controlled by a series of discs displaying off set hours, minutes & second time zone. A central hand that operates in segments of 0-20 controls the seconds.
At 50.84mm x 41.77mm the Black Widow is pretty large watch but I think that’s integral to the design. The case is Titanium that makes it lightweight & the matt finish gives it a cool appearance. Ladoire have manufactured a bespoke in house automatic 38-jewel movement with micro rotor visible through the sapphire crystal case back. Price: €53,000
